Welcome to our exciting new endeavor – The Interview Project: Documenting the Resiliency of Jackson Hole. The Interview Project will enable students to learn about history and social justice through the experiences of local community members, and our inaugural phase will include students from the Dual Immersion Language Arts program at Jackson Hole Middle School and Jackson Hole High School.
Through the Interview Project, students learn about different types of adversity and positive coping strategies by interviewing members of the Jackson community about how they have faced and overcome adversity in their lives. The interviews are recorded and housed on our website to create a living museum. We believe that hearing about community members’ experiences will provide authentic learning and meaningful examples that students can apply to their own lives. The aim of The Interview Project is to provide a venue through which students can find inspiration and mentorship from real people overcoming real adversity.
The Interview Project is funded by the NOVO Foundation’s SEL in Action grant.
